Hi, I'm Aislin!
I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario.
My interest in psychology began after attending grief therapy following the loss of a loved one, where I experienced the life-changing impact of talking through your emotions. That experience showed me the power of therapy bring clarity, strength and healing.

Throughout my studies, I have found myself drawn to strength-based, solution-focused therapies for their emphasis on empowerment, resilience and growth. This approach identifies and builds on your strengths to create sustainable change and continued progress. I also believe in taking a personalized approach. No two people are the same, and therapy should reflect that.

My experience volunteering as a Crisis Responder for the Distress Centres of Greater Toronto and the Canada Suicide Prevention Service Hotline has provided me with valuable skills and experience in the areas of suicide prevention, anxiety management and coping strategies.

I have experience working with children, teens and adults. As a therapist, I work hard to form strong relationships with my clients based on mutual trust, understanding and respect, and to create a safe space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and challenges without judgment.

What does it mean to be a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)?
A Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) is in the process of becoming fully registered as a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) but has not yet met all the requirements. In Ontario, this title is given to individuals who have completed their education and training in psychotherapy and are registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) but still need to fulfill additional requirements, such as completing a certain number of supervised client hours and passing a registration exam. They are legally allowed to provide therapy but must work under supervision. Once they complete all the requirements, they can remove the "Qualifying" title and become a fully Registered Psychotherapist (RP), meaning they can practice independently without direct supervision.

Aislin Temple has passed the CRPO ethics examination and is finishing her supervision hours to complete a title transfer. If you have any questions about her qualifications, please reach out, and we would be happy to clarify.
